NCAA Basketball Brackets

The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament starts this Sunday with the the Bracket Selection Show on CBS. This is a very exciting time of year because I go through a withdrawal from sports between The Superbowl and March Madness. Who doesn't? Don't answer that!

So the time has come to start thinking about filling out your bracket but may I suggest another way of seeing how talented (or lucky) you are at picking winners. My sister-in-law, who passed away not long ago, was involved in a bracket competition that she loved to do with her co-workers and in honor of her, our family now has a bracket competition every year in her name. We even have a trophy. This is how it works...

You pick 16 teams. One team from every seed number
(one #1 seed, one #2 seed, etc.)

You receive 10 points plus the seed number for every game your team wins
(Every time your #5 seed team wins you get 15 points)

You score an additional 10 points if you pick the winner of the whole tournament

Tie-Breaker - Pick the total number of points between the two teams in the championship game
