    Did You Know!

$1.00 in 1915 had about the same buying power as $21.38 in 2010.

    I wish I had a time Machine!

    Oh Yeah

Or as Dane Cook would say, "You better fix that hole in my wall before my dad comes home and beats me with a toaster."

    Interesting Study!

    Dear Steve Kagen

    Steve,

It's absolutely stunning that a bill can be passed without anyone reading it. Not to mention the bill is unconstitutional which shows me how much disrespect you have for this county. You and all your "fellow" congressmen are a disgrace. You should be removed from your post. I guess we'll just have to do it for you in November.

    Sincerely,

    A Disgruntled American

    Mitch Hedberg

    RIP Mitch Hedberg!

    NCAA

The tournament starts on Thursday and everyone is trying to get their picks in. I love watching the "Bracketology" shows on ESPN and all the so called "experts" on these shows. How do you think they get the title of "Expert"? Do you think there is some course you take at the Tech College called the NCAA Tournament Bracket Expert Accreditation Course? I should take this course! I would probably fail though!

Here are some 1st round upsets I am hoping for...

    • #11 Washington over #6 Marquette (I actually think this one will happen)
    • #12 Utah St. over #5 Texas A&M (There's always a #12 upset, right!)
    • #10 Georgia Tech over #7 Oklahoma State (GT is hot coming out of the Conference Tourney)
    • #9 Louisville over #8 California (How do you call an #8 vs #9 seed, seriously???)

    Go Badgers!

    Here's a thought

When you commit a crime, why are you given less of a punishment then when you don't succeed in carrying out the crime? For example, if someone attempts to commit a murder and the victim survives, why don't they get the same punishment as if the victim didn't survive.

This is what a judge is saying to you:

"You failed to kill that guy, so we are going to put you in prison for 10 years and when you get out, you can try to finish the job next time."

    Rather than:

"You tried to kill that guy so we are going to lock you up for 50 years and by the time you get out you will be way too old to be able to kill someone."

Call me crazy, just a random thought!

    NCAA Basketball Brackets

The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament starts this Sunday with the the Bracket Selection Show on CBS. This is a very exciting time of year because I go through a withdrawal from sports between The Superbowl and March Madness. Who doesn't? Don't answer that!

So the time has come to start thinking about filling out your bracket but may I suggest another way of seeing how talented (or lucky) you are at picking winners. My sister-in-law, who passed away not long ago, was involved in a bracket competition that she loved to do with her co-workers and in honor of her, our family now has a bracket competition every year in her name. We even have a trophy. This is how it works...

You pick 16 teams. One team from every seed number
(one #1 seed, one #2 seed, etc.)

You receive 10 points plus the seed number for every game your team wins
(Every time your #5 seed team wins you get 15 points)

You score an additional 10 points if you pick the winner of the whole tournament

Tie-Breaker - Pick the total number of points between the two teams in the championship game

Men don't talk about that kind of stuff!

Brian Regan hits the nail on the head. When men get together we don't talk about dating or love. We crack fart jokes and talk about sports or cars or whatever. This video is just a great example of the questions my wife asks me after I've spent a day with "the guys."
